Waiting for that elusive call

There has been blood bath in Wall Street and various countries. World economies have succumbed to the US economy took hittings. The first calamities were felt in distatnt corners from Wall Street. I am one of those who were severly affected in the form of Pink Slips.

NVIDIA took a huge hit, to the tune of 250 million US dollars in faulty chips and the short-sightedness of the management continues. I am not bitter, I have always been critical of stupid steps taken by my employers. And never hesitated to express them.

I sincerely hope NVIDIA doesn't axe any more people than the 6% percent it has. I don't want even my enemies go through this uncertainity,tension and insecurities I am going through, and I have some very good friends in erst while PortalPlayer and NVIDIA.

Some of the organizitaions who have talked to me since the fateful September 18, when we were shown doors, have been understanding and did not look down us, some wondering callously if it was our faults to be shown doors.

I sincerely hope my uncertainity ends soon. Hope the festival of lights, Deepawali brings lights in my life too. Amen.

This is the first time since 1990 I am having so much time on my hands.
